Hi there! My name is Ashley Shaver. I am Rhea Lana's younger sister. Owner of the Northwest Arkansas Sale. Mother of four. Fayetteville native. Lover of wild cowboy boots, garlic cheddar grits, and sweet tea. When I'm with my kids I'm a kitchen dancer, trampoline jumper, and wooden-spoon singer! And I confess that children's clothes are my creative outlet! :)

Rhea Lana originally began this sale in 1997 with 11 Consignors and 3 racks of clothes in her living room in Conway, AR. She wrote all the tags by hand and even rewashed and ironed many of the clothes! Her husband quickly rescued her and computerized her system before people even knew what email addresses and websites were. He has always been the innovative mind in the background of the company.

I decided to bring Rhea Lana's idea to the families in Northwest Arkansas. I believe in Rhea Lana's Children's Consignment Events because it is a win-win for everyone involved: Consignors get to de-clutter their closets while making more money for their children's items than they could anywhere else; Shoppers can find high-quality merchandise at a fraction of the retail price all under one roof; and moms have an opportunity to connect with other moms and earn the ability to shop early.

Northwest Arkansas has embraced Rhea Lana's and embraced the concept of families helping families! Our first event had 80 Consignors and a little over 7,000 items. This past year we grew to 2100+ Consignors selling 220,000 items!

In the meantime, my sister saw the success of our "experimental" franchise up here in NWA and now the company has grown to 100+ events in the United States! I'm still a little biased towards our NWA and Fayetteville events, though. ;) In fact we recently won four awards at our national franchise conference, including #1 Franchise in the Company, Most Consignors, and Largest Percentage of Items Sold! Hooray for Northwest Arkansas! We have committed Volunteers, Consignors who bring beautiful children's items, and dedicated Shoppers who made that happen!
